THE UNIVERSE OF CARTONERO BOOKS – AVEIRO
Between October 10 and November 17, 2023
The Fanzineteca of Aveiro is hosting a literary exhibition of “cartonero” books, currently touring around Portugal.
This is a collection of handcrafted books from all over the world, containing messages from writers and artists who work outside conventional publishing circuits.
Among these publications, we find vehicles of political, social, and creative intervention that give voice to those who are usually unheard.
They represent valuable and active statements by their creators, opening doors to a democratization of the act of writing and publishing.

amostr – Exhibition OF FANZINES AND ARTIST’S BOOKS 2023
Between October 5 and 8, 2023
The event will take place from October 5 to October 8, at the Foyer of the Vila do Conde Municipal Theatre. It is organized in partnership between Flanzine and Fanzine Ultra Violenta.
The importance of an event like this lies in the opportunity to bring together a community of Portuguese creatives who, despite being very diverse, are united by a spirit of editorial independence. The original format of these publications allows for a more genuine and personal creative expression.
