Born in 1983, originally from Cascais and currently residing in Canelas, Estarreja. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from FBAUP and is completing a Master’s in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro. He manages the Estação Project, a cultural dissemination space. The venue is being actively developed to showcase the work of national and international artists from various artistic fields such as photography, painting, music, video art, among others. Workshops are also held for children and adults, encouraging artistic and critical production and thinking.
He is also the founder of the Arte365 project, which aims to promote the work of emerging artists.
CONTEXTUALIZATION:
Cyanotypes consist of creating photographic prints in shades of blue. This process was used for copying drawings and diagrams during the 19th and 20th centuries, but it was also employed for photographic reproductions. This simple and low-cost procedure is especially practical for image reproduction.
DESCRIPTION:
A workshop designed to provide knowledge on the materialization of analog work. This technique draws on older image-making processes, allowing participants to create visually striking images suitable for decorative purposes or artistic expression due to its unique plasticity.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
Chemical solution, container for mixing chemicals, latex gloves, heavyweight foreign drawing paper, scissors/X-Acto knife, ruler, brush, clipboard, glass sheet, acetate sheets, hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂).
GENERAL NOTES:
Workshops are limited to 20 participants, so please register in advance via the registration form accessible through the button below “Inscriptions (Here)”.
All necessary materials will be provided by the organization, though participants are welcome to bring their own.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will receive a personalized Certificate of Participation.

After the success of the first edition in 2021, FanzineUltraViolenta returns in 2022. The basic concept is the same – the theme of alternative visual culture and independent publishing – but its format has been expanded and made more relevant, becoming an event that we hope will lay the foundations for the largest European meeting of alternative visual culture and the “DiY” phenomenon to take place in Aveiro in the near future. The central theme will be independent publishing and the fanzine as a form of socio-cultural expression that is highly relevant to the underground urban “tribes” that have developed over the last sixty years.
This year’s edition has several activities, such as exhibitions of fanzines from collections that have never been made public, art exhibitions with the illustrations contained in these publications, fairs on independent publications, DIY workshops, a series of talks on graphic design and alternative music concerts.
