Integrated into Rock’n’Camp 2024, on September 3rd, the inauguration of the exhibition Travel Through Fanzine Space took place in Castelo de Paiva!
Besides the collection from the Rock’n’Cave Fanzinoteca, built over more than twenty years, fanzines participating in the 2024 contest promoted by the same entity were also exhibited.
On this day, at the Local Culture Interpretation Center where the exhibition was held, the workshop “Rock’n’Zines – experimental design and independent publications” took place, led by Miguel Correia, coordinator of the Fanzineteca de Aveiro and editor of the fanzine Ultra Violentra.
Participants were challenged to collaboratively create an editorial object in the form of a fanzine that explores visual representations of each person’s favorite band or music.

Also, in this space and following the workshop, the talk “Publishing to (re)exist. Fanzines in Portugal (1978-2024)” was held, with Paula Guerra (researcher and university professor).
