At Animix, a day dedicated to anime, video games and independent publishing, as part of the Press Start Festival — Casa da Música

It all starts with a passion — for a game, an image, a character, a story. At (im)PRESS START, that passion takes shape in paper, ink and form.

Cabe Cave — Associação Cultural, through the magazine Flanzine, and Edições Ultra Violenta present an exhibition of fanzines, artists’ books, small-run editions and print artworks by Portuguese authors, many of whom operate outside the commercial circuit.

Comics, speculative fiction, manga, collage, horror, experimental comics, illustration and printmaking, board games, arcade games, RPGs — a vivid portrait of independent publishing in dialogue with pop culture and gaming.Between fan and fun, there are many ways to create: drawing, writing, printing, trading, discovering. Come and see — and leave with something in your hands.
