VIC ZIN #001

The editor of the fanzine Ultra Violenta (Miguel Correia) was invited by VIC Aveiro Arts House / VIC NIC to develop the debut edition of their fanzine VIC ZIN.

His participation includes the creation of the visual concept, illustrations, and the entire layout of this restless graphic object. The invitation came with the aim of somehow adding the graphic DNA of Ultra Violenta to VIC ZIN and from there starting a fruitful collaboration.

A long-planned dream that thus finds its starting point. It will serve as a platform for reflection on free and independent publishing and also as a vehicle for information about the various events that VIC will continue to organize regularly.

“Welcome to the Festival dos Canais and to the debut edition of VIC ZIN! We are very excited to finally materialize this DIY editorial project, aiming to circulate the most significant news from the creative ecosystem of VIC Aveiro Arts House, and to foster the free exchange of exploratory ideas and cultural materials.

Although it also includes some interesting readings about upcycling and independent media, VIC ZIN #0 mainly revolves around our participation in this year’s edition of Festival dos Canais, presenting the implementation and artistic programming of two of the event’s most legendary meeting points: Sala de eStar and Funky Beach.”
