The Zine and Artist Book Fair returns to aMOSTr to showcase the diversity and vitality of contemporary independent publishing. Bringing together authors, collectives, publishers, and self-publishing projects from different regions and creative fields, this space establishes itself as a place for discovery, exchange, and connection, centred on the book as both an artistic object and a vehicle for free expression.

Coordinated by Flanzine and Fanzine Ultra Violenta, the Fair will, for the first time, take place in the gardens of the Vila do Conde Memory Centre, becoming part of a new aMOSTr format that extends the programme into the outdoor space and reinforces its role as a place for gathering and social interaction.

Featuring small-run publications, fanzines, artist books, comics, illustration, visual poetry, and experimental projects, the Fair presents a broad overview of editorial practices that develop outside conventional publishing and distribution circuits.

Throughout the weekend, the programme will also include presentations and activities offering visitors the opportunity to engage more closely with the participants’ work. Highlights include the presentation of Obrigado Belphegor by Sama, as well as a conversation with Pedro Sim, who will, for the first time, share a journey through his extensive collection of publications and the various editorial projects and experiences he has developed over the years.

The practical and participatory dimension of the programme will be ensured through three workshops led by Marta Santos, Gil Mac, and Oficina Noctua, inviting the public to explore processes of graphic, narrative, and editorial creation.
