Collective Exhibition “Freedom” at the Alpiarça Museum – Casa dos Patudos

The Aveiro Fanzineteca was invited to select a collection of fanzine copies from its archive to be exhibited to the public in this collective exhibition. This invitation came from the organizers of the Alpiarça Fanzine Festival, namely the Alpiarça City Council and the Tentáculo Association.

For this event, a set of publications addressing the theme of freedom and the April 25, 1974 revolution was selected, as this was the central theme of the exhibition.
Renowned comic book artists participated in this collective show, including: André Mateus, António Coelho, António Martins, Daniel Maia, Filipe Duarte, João Paulo Cotrim, Jorge Rodrigues, José Bandeira, Maria João Claré, Mário André, Miguel Rocha, Nuno Saraiva, Patrícia Costa, Susana Resende, and Yves Darbos.

In addition to these artists, fanzines published by the students and art teachers of Marquesa de Alorna Secondary School were also exhibited.
