Sculpture and Drawing are the cornerstones of Tiago Verdade’s artistic work. The practise of uniting these two disciplines are what allow the research and development of his work to come from matter, using metal, fibres and natures´ objects. The use of matter is the reason which allows us to recognize its own characteristics, meaning, comparing its value in daily life to the value it presents as a work of art. Because it is in this transformation that the object emerges as an extension of its primary value: as a means of constructing and interpreting; Becoming a source of knowledge and artistic perspective, while the tinkering behind its plasticity allows for a perpetual transformation. The object is always in full connection with architecture, with landscape and our body.
